Welcome to WMHE 2024

The Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia, invites you to participate in the 18^th International Symposium on Water Management and Hydraulic Engineering (WMHE 2024). It is our pleasure to invite all researchers, engineers and professionals working in water management and hydraulic engineering to contribute on a wide range of topics. The Symposium will take place on September 10^th to 14^th, 2024 in the Hotel Panorama, Štrbské Pleso, Slovakia.

WMHE 2024 is an international symposium in the field of Water Management and Hydraulic Engineering. The original bilateral symposium between civil engineering faculties of Gdańsk University of Technology (Poland) and University of Zagreb (Croatia) has been spread to more partner universities – Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovakia), Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (North Macedonia), University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna (Austria) as well as Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic).

The aim of the symposium is to encourage and facilitate communication and exchange of experience of recent research work between scientists, engineers and professionals on different aspects of water and environmental management and hydraulic engineering, including physical and mathematical modelling. Topics of the symposium have been chosen to cover main aspects of hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical and sanitary engineering, as well as environmental engineering and flood risk management. This successful series started in 1984 and nowadays it is regularly organized as a two-annual symposium meeting. It is our pleasure to invite you to the beautiful nature of the High Tatras in Slovakia.
